About the Campaign
Childhood cancer in Nepal is evident especially in the rural illiterate, poor and marginalized communities of Nepal. In contrary to the developed countries’ treatment facilities, Nepal does not have sufficient facilities in advanced treatment. Here, in most of the hospital, treatment is only medical but not more than that in many hospital cases. As the patients go through different tragedy and trauma, seek different therapy, like Art Therapy, Music Therapy, counseling etc. They (Dirghajeevi Voluntary Group) hope that this kind of program for the children with cancer will have a positive impact on their lives too. They have been doing little things to bring smiles on little face. They have been more successful in the recent days and also in the past, working with different volunteers and providing different kinds of support to children. Children love to play and go out for recreation and we had and have been supporting this. Children now hope to live a joyful life and parents are feeling secure to have them inside an organization like us.
Where will the funds go?
The funds raised will be utilized to support and continue the Day-care center Program. Day care program is for those children going through cancer treatment. They provide recreational and psycho-social support for such children.
